Anthony Shipman, CEO and president of The Shipman Group II (TSG), specializes in expanding business opportunities and increasing revenue for small to mid-size companies. With more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, account management and business development spanning a variety of industries, Shipman has proven results in growing accounts and implementing cost reduction strategies.
Prior to re-inventing TSG II in 2007, Shipman spent four years as a national account manager with Act-1 Personnel Services, one of only a few woman minority-owned full service staffing firms in the country. There, he increased revenue by 45 percent, growing the firm’s presence in Charlotte to 150 placements in three years.
As the director of Sales and Marketing at Southern Fasteners, Shipman managed a team of service and sales representatives. In the more than 11 years he spent at the company, he increased company sales by 25 percent, impacting company revenue by a total of 40 percent.
